Curfew forces change to ferry schedule
CHANGES have been made to the schedule of the Inter-Island Ferry Service between Trinidad and Tobago. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Works and Transport, the changes have become necessary as a result of the declaration, on Sunday, of a limited State of Emergency and the announcement of a curfew from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The Ministry says the changes are necessary to ensure that passengers wishing to travel on the ferries can access and depart the Port of Spain terminal outside of the curfew hours.
As of yesterday, the T&T Express is departing Port of Spain at 8.30 a.m. daily with departures from Scarborough at 4 p.m. daily from Tuesday to Sunday except on Wednesdays when it departs at 12 noon.
The 1.30 p.m. sailing of the T&T Express from Port of Spain on Thursdays, Fridays and Mondays has been cancelled as a result of the limited hours of operation. The 10 a.m. sailing of the T&T Express from Scarborough on Thursdays, Fridays and Mondays has also been cancelled.
All sailings of the T&T Spirit and The Warrior Spirit will remain as scheduled.
